Welcome to the Flow Simulation Research Group in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Wright State University, in Dayton, OH.

The Flow Simulation Research Group, which was started in 2006 by Dr. Haibo Dong, is of fundamental interests in understanding the physics of complex flows while developing efficient state-of-the-art computational tools for complex motions. Research is driven by the quests to answer questions both from fundamental fluid dynamics problems and from practical applications.

Current research in our group is in biomimetic fluid dynamics, bio-inspired flows, modeling and optimal design of Micro Air Vehicle (MAV), fluid-structure interatction, optimal design of rotary engine, combustion, Cartesian grid methods, and high performance computing.
