  Position Summary

  Designs, develops, and tests the manufacture and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems.

  Position Responsibilities
  

  • Designs electrical equipment, components, systems, instruments, and products.
    
  • Prepares and analyzes technical drawings, specifications, and maps to ensure installations and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
    
  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, installation, and maintenance standards and specifications.
    
  • Participates in manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
    
  • Observe on-going operations for conformance to specifications, as well as operational, safety, and quality standards. Performance of this responsibility may require frequent customer interaction and travel to installation worksite, customer locations, and off-hour phone/computer support.

  Requirements
  

  • Must have an understanding of software development processes, good organizational skills, along with hands-on experience with some or all of the following programming languages: C++, MSVC++ (Microsoft Visual C++),VB, Java, and AutoCad in MS Windows environment, real-time control software. Completion of Microsoft Foundation classes is a plus.
    
  • One year of college completed towards Bachelors Degree in Engineering (i.e. EE, EET, etc.) or other technical (i.e. Computer Science) discipline.
