These special days are designed specifically for middle school students (grades 6-8). Students will learn about engineering, participate in hands-on engineering projects, and tour the Russ Engineering Center and its labs.

Limited to 40 students.

Proposed Schedule

4:30 PMStudents Check-in at the Joshi Research Center
5:00 PMEngineering Design Project
6:00 PMPizza Party Dinner
6:30 PMWhat is Engineering?
College staff will talk about the various disciplines of engineering and how students can prepare in school to become future engineers.
6:45 PMWhat is Manufacturing Engineering?
SME members will explain manufacturing engineering and discuss what they do on the job.
7:00 PMTours of labs in the Russ Engineering Center
8:00 PMStudents can be picked up at the Joshi Research Center
