Innovative Research Activities

Inspired by the innovative spirit of the Wright brothers, the College of Engineering and Computer Science is always pushing the envelope with research in emerging technologies, such as alternative energy sources, nanotechnologies, wireless communications and devices, and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). Last year the College was awarded $18 million in research funding from sponsors such as the Department of Defense, NASA, and the National Science Foundation.

In association with daytaOhio, the College will welcome its first LexisNexis Eminent Scholar for Advanced Data Management and Analysis. This position will provide research leadership to daytaOhio by encouraging entrepreneurship and technology transfer, as well as mentoring graduate students.
